I am Celina April P. Tanedo, a historian and quality assurance editor from Manila, Philippines. I graduated with a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Far Eastern University – Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation in 2020 and hold a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from FEU-Manila. I completed my post-graduate training at Delos Santos Medical Center before becoming a licensed general physician. I have passed the Philippine Medical License exam and USMLE Step 1, with preparations in mind for the remaining American Board exams.

My medical background has equipped me with problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. In my free time, I enjoy watching movies and documentaries, traveling to new places, and staying active through activities like running, swimming, and cycling. I’ve learned a lot with The Guardian Group! One key takeaway is the significance of the medical history; it provides a comprehensive overview of a patient’s background and greatly influences our understanding of their health. Working in the medical field exposes you to a wide range of healthcare professionals, all of whom work hard and are often pushed to their limits, especially in the Philippines.

My experience with The Guardian Group has already emphasized the importance of thorough history-taking for my future patients. Accurate medical history helps narrow down differential diagnoses effectively. Effective history taking and editing are essential skills that will significantly enhance my abilities as a doctor. By accurately gathering and analyzing a patient’s medical history, I can gain crucial insights into their health and make informed decisions about their care. This process not only aids in accurate diagnosis but also fosters trust and communication with patients.
