I am Kristian Lawrence M. Bercero, a historian and quality assurance editor from Bergenfield, New Jersey. I graduated with a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center, Philippines, in 2021 and hold a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from the Far Eastern University – Manila. I completed my post-graduate training at Victoriano Luna General Hospital AFP-HSC, Philippines before becoming a licensed general physician. I recently passed USMLE Step 1 and am currently preparing for the remaining exams.
My medical background has provided me with strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail. In my free time, I enjoy watching movies and staying active with activities like ultimate frisbee, basketball, pickleball, and hiking.
Working with The Guardian Group is comparable to my clinical clerkship days. While there are times when you manage a patient individually, there are also moments when teamwork comes into play, which really makes the process smoother and more precise.
I’m completing my clinical training in the United States, and working at The Guardian Group has been incredibly helpful, particularly with the medical history aspect. It serves as a great refresher for me, especially since there was a period when I wasn’t active in the field. This experience is making my work on medical histories during my clinical experience training much more efficient, and it will certainly benefit me when I enter medical residency in the near future.
